HOUSEHOLD, FURNITURE, CLOTHING

Price: heavily discounted (All kids clothing is $1, adults clothing is $4, shoes are $1, boots are $2- household items are a bit more) 

*Free medical equipment program for York residents

Accepting: New/ gently used clothing & shoes, children’s items, unopened diapers, toys, kitchen/household items in working condition, jewelry, antiques, books, linens, and furniture. 

Will not accept white goods (washers, dryers or refrigerators) along with televisions, computer monitors, construction material, exercise equipment, flammable liquids, mattresses, bed pillows, car seats, helmets or cribs.

FOOD PANTRY INFO

Donations: Thursdays 8am-11am at the

Food Pantry or daily at the Thrift Store from 10am- 5pm. 

Shop: Thursdays 12:30pm - 3pm and 5pm-7pm

Off street parking

Free to York residents who meet income guidelines- No questions asked for first timers. 

Accepts all unexpired food. If it’s a perishable item, please make sure it doesn’t expire by the next shopping day (Thursday) 

Community Clothing Closet

Tuesday: 9am - 11am

Wednesday: 2pm -  2pm - 4pm

Thursday: 9am - 11am

Friday: 4pm - 6pm

Saturday: 1pm- 3pm

Accepts clothing in any size, shoes, backpacks, sleeping bags, tents, toiletries, diapers. 

Underwear must be brand new in unopened packages.

BABY & YOUTH CLOTHING

Cost: Free! 

Accepts clothing for infants and children up to age 17. High need for boys pj’s, pants, and T-shirt’s.

Must be a York County resident to shop. Families can come once every 3 months. 


Compassion Closet 

Donate by appointment only.

Those in need of baby/youth items need a referral from an agency representative- this can be done on their website www.belovedchildren.org

BABY/CHILD/TEEN CLOTHING

Cost: free

Accepts new and very gently used children’s clothing & some items. Follow their Facebook page for updates on needed donations.

Better Together - York County (ME) is a location-specific donation coordination group. Our goal is to act as a bridge connecting those who need specific items with those looking to donate specific items. All are welcome but you must live or work within York County, Maine. Invite local friends and family members to join and help or be helped.
