Maine Needs is moving!

We are moving to our new home at 2385 Congress Street in Portland during the last week of March.

To prepare and ready both spaces, WE ARE CLOSED FOR DONATIONS FOR THE REMAINDER OF MARCH.

If you have items to donate, please hold onto them until we re-open in April. You can also offer the things you have to give on the Better Together Facebook group for the county you live in to connect them directly to someone in the community.

If you’d like to continue supporting the work of care providers across the state, please join our private Facebook group. Providers will be posting there for the resources their clients are in need of.

Thank you for your support, patience and understanding. We are grateful for this journey and look forward to transitioning into a bigger home that can hold our growing community.

Have items we can’t accept?

We encourage you to offer those items on your county’s Better Together Facebook Group.

Maine Needs began by digging into the needs of families in Greater Portland, but we didn’t want to stop there! So we established “Better Together”, a collection of 16 Facebook groups representing all 16 counties in Maine. These groups act as bridges connecting those who need specific items with folks who have those items to donate, and vice versa. People are able to freely post what they need or what they have to give within their own community.
